I first encountered alternative therapy in 2011 when I went to England to study 'Facial Reflexology' founded by Lone Sorensen. There I met a reflexologist, Angela Sellens Drake, and then started to go to England repeatedly to have private intensive tuition with her in Norwich. I was impressed with Angela's style of light touch reflexology inspired by the idea of Chris Stormer's 'Language of the Feet'.
Learning light touch reflexology from Angela led me to Maternity reflexology where light touch technique was absolutely required. I attended Suzanne Enzer's Part 1 course for qualified reflexologists in 2013 and then her successor, Jenni Tribe's Part 2 course in 2015.
Having found myself unbalanced both physically and emotionally after losing my grandmother, I started to explore new modalities other than reflexology/massage and learn kinesiology from 2015. I found that it was not enough just to receive relaxing session passively to recover form such state and take a step forward into a new life, but instead it was really necessary to go out of the old pattern which we acquired long time ago before we grew up. Surprisingly enough, it could date back to the time when we were fetus in the uterus. We have acquired our own specific patterns in our perception and behavior as we went through lots of new experiences and our nerve systems have stored these patterns in the brain to use and apply them to each new moment in the lifetime. Brain is a pattern matching device, as my kinesiology teacher once said. When we are faced with critical and unexpected events, we often feel trapped as it is not always possible and a good way to depend on such old survival patterns in order to explore a new adventurous life. So I started to devote myself to discover my own style of offering a session with the aim of positively influencing these patterns.
Firstly I completed a course to be qualified as a BrainGym in Melbourne, Australia, in 2017. BrainGym is a modality where people can balance themselves by doing symple exercises to reactivate and retrain nerve systems with a specific goal which they want to achieve. Secondly, I learnt 'Aura-Soma Cranio Sacral touch' from Maria Darbellay in Italy in 2017, where I also recognized the importance of relaxing the brain, the nerves, the spine, and the sacrum to be free from traumatic memories including birth trauma which could affect the survival patterns.
Thirdly, I became qualified as a 'Metamorphic Technique' practitioner in England in 2018. Metamorphic Technique derived from reflexology, but is not a therapy to lead someone to wellness, but a kind of modality to exclusively work on the spinal reflexes where the prenatal patterns are believed to be embedded.
Finally I decided to complete my journey of series of learning by being qualified as a maternity reflexologist. I reattended Jenni's course in Belfast in 2018 with submittal of case studies and presentation on my findings and passion to help women by working on these patterns each person has from the very early stages.
